10 staples to have AT ALL TIMES

Every one has their version of the bare cooking essentials tucked away either in their kitchen pantry, or in their mind. These are the ingredients that can live happily on the shelf for months, can transform a recipe into a flavour explosion, and have the versatility to suit many plates. I consider staples silent assassins: ready to change a basic salad into a tingly delight of salivation, primed to transform a mediocre poke bowl into a dynamic tangy ride - locked and loaded to take your potatoes to the next level. I get overwhelmed thinking about how many times in our lives we will need to cook. I have this feeling when I brush my teeth, here we are again. So I think it's important to have the upper hand when it comes to meal time: some low maintenance ammunition in the form of condiments and powders and liquids. With these tools we can approach cooking with confidence, and impress ourselves when biting into food we've made.
